Terms and conditions


MUST BE READ BEFORE BOOKING.

By booking an appointment with ka.lo photo you are subject to these full terms and conditions.


BOOKING

  • A non-refundable booking fee of 50% of session fee is payable on booking to secure your shoot and will be deducted from the remainder of the fee payable the latest on the day of the shoot.
  • Arranged time and date will be pre-hold for the client for 24hrs and the booking fee must be received within that time frame. If the client fails to pay the booking fee within the time frame, the client must contact the photographer again, to check availability.
  • The final balance payment for the chosen package should be made on the photo shoot day with cash or via bank transfer (before the shoot).


RESCHEDULING & REFUND POLICY


  • Due to diary booking based business, the shoot can only be rescheduled free of charge up to 7 days prior agreed date, with the exception of special circumstances like a child or parent/parent's illness ( this will be accepted as a once-off ) or if the photographer is unable to take the shoot due to illness or personal circumstances.
  • In the event of sickness prior to the shoot, the client agrees to make every possible effort to inform ka.lo photo no later than 24 hours prior to the start time of the photo shoot. The shoot can be transferred to a new date which will be at the convenience of both parties within a maximum of 3 months period.
  • No-shows will be treated as a cancellation and the booking fee will not be refunded.
  • If the client fails to reschedule within the 3 months time period, ka.lo photo reserves the right to cancel the booking with all payments made non-refundable. A shoot can be rescheduled only once.
  • Please keep in mind that we have to keep the studio environment as healthy and sickness free as possible for all clients. Please do not attend the studio with a sick/unwell child.
  • Once the shoot has started a shoot fee will be charged.
  • The booking fee is non-refundable except in the event of ka.lo photo cancelling the booking. For re-shoots required due to an act of God or illness of the photographer you will be contacted to arrange an alternative date, where not possible, the Photographer’s liability shall be limited to a full refund of the deposit.


ONLINE GALLERY

  • Images shall be made available to the client to view in a private online gallery within 2-3 weeks of the shoot date. A link to the gallery shall be sent via email.
  • A soft proofed gallery will be presented to the client from which he/she will choose their pictures. Only basic editing service will be provided which means: colours, background, dry skin, pimples, eyeshadows, skin tones and texture. ka.lo photo would not edit: broken\ dirty nails, cracked/ missing nail polish, grey hair, hair suckers- lose of colour, hair cut, makeup, clothes, wrinkles on clothes, tattoos.
  • For security purposes, images in the online gallery are watermarked, these can not be removed under any circumstances.
  • Only fully edited images ( in JPG format) will be provided to the client.
  • UNEDITED PICTURES – Please kindly note that unedited pictures are not included in the packages and cannot be purchased.
  • ka.lo photo is unable to store unwanted images indefinitely, images not purchased within a period of 2 months following a photo shoot will be considered unwanted, and will be deleted without further notice.
  • Once the images have been purchased they should be backed up by the client and ka.lo photo is no longer responsible for any digital files once they are taken by the client.
  • Storage of digital files: ka.lo photo reserves the right after a period of 3 months from the Client’s shoot date to delete all or any images. After receiving purchased images ka.lo photo will no longer be responsible for storing Clients image files. After receiving the link it is Client's responsibility to check the images. Please make sure that you make multiple copies on your computer, cloud or any other storage.


OUTDOOR SHOOT

  • Any outdoor shoot location which is over 6 miles radius from TN8 5JQ, will have a commuting fee that applies. Rate: 50 pence per mile. The subject of approval.



LIABILITY

  • The photographer is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will be responsible for their children and for themselves and release the photographer from any claims against their person or their business. The client(s) will waive, disclaim and release ka.lo photo and its respective owners, employees, volunteers and representatives from any and all actions, claims or demands that they may have now or in the future, whether known or unknown, against the ka.lo photo, including without limitation those related to injury or to death of persons, or damage, loss or destruction of property arising out of or in connection with the shoot or any products related thereto.


COPYRIGHTS AND OWNERSHIP

  • ka.lo photo retains copyright and ownership of all images taken during the photo-shoot. Editing or altering of the images in terms of style, colour, additions, subtractions, cropping or any other form of post-production or enhancement is not permitted
  • Do not download any of the images published in social media nor remove the watermark from the images done by ka.lo photo as legal action may be taken
  • ka.lo photo reserves the right to use and exhibit the images wholly or in part for any purpose required, including, but not limited to: display in portfolio, advertising, marketing and editorial in a variety of print and digital formats.
  •  When printing your photos please note that ka.lo photo cannot be held responsible for poor quality prints from printing shops or online printers.




The terms of this agreement cannot be changed unless agreed upon by both parties in writing. By booking and paying the booking fee the client agrees to the Terms and Conditions stated above.
